Senator Giessel, Chair, moved and asked unanimous consent for the adoption of the Resources Committee Substitute offered on page 1873. Senator Gardner objected, then withdrew her objection. There being no further objection, CS FOR SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 4(RES) Urging the United States Congress to pass legislation providing for the exemption of legally acquired walrus, mammoth, and mastodon ivory from laws that ban the sale, use, and possession of ivory, was adopted. Senator Micciche moved and asked unanimous consent the resolution be considered engrossed, advanced to third reading and placed on final passage. Without objection, it was so ordered. 2018-02-16 Senate Journal Page 2032 CS FOR SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 4(RES) was read the third time. The question being: "Shall CS FOR SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 4(RES) Urging the United States Congress to pass legislation providing for the exemption of legally acquired walrus, mammoth, and mastodon ivory from laws that ban the sale, use, and possession of ivory, pass the Senate?" The roll was taken with the following result: CSSJR 4(RES) Third Reading - Final Passage YEAS: 16 NAYS: 0 EXCUSED: 3 ABSENT: 0 VACANT: 1 Yeas: Begich, Bishop, Coghill, Costello, Egan, Gardner, Giessel, Hughes, Kelly, MacKinnon, Meyer, Micciche, Olson, Stevens, von Imhof, Wilson Excused: Hoffman, Stedman, Wielechowski and so, CS FOR SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 4(RES) passed the Senate and was referred to the Secretary for engrossment.
